Fiji looks forward to further strengthening partnership and explore possibilities to intensify future cooperation with the German government on issues of significance particularly, in the areas of climate change, humanitarian aid, statistics among other important priorities.
This was articulated at a courtesy call between the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Honourable Sakiusa Tubuna and the German Special Envoy to the Pacific, Her Excellency Beate Grzeksi.
Discussions at the meeting also focused on further collaboration, particularly in the relocation of villages affected by natural disasters.
The German Government through it’s Special Envoy to the Pacific is prepared to assist the Fijian Government in the relocation of the villages emphasizing the need for thorough consultation with it’s stakeholders and the community to establish their priorities and needs.
