Assistant Minister Tubuna Meets with the European Union Head of Delegation for the Pacific

The Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Honourable Sakiusa Tubuna today met with the Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union for the Pacific, His Excellency Sujiro Seam on (January 17th, 2023) where they discussed areas of opportunities to advance Fiji’s interests through stronger collaboration with the European Union.
Discussions at the meeting focused on key priority areas particularly, on private sector partnerships and development, financial support for community development projects and programmes, and trade and investment opportunities, climate change and environment issues, among other very important aspects.
The Assistant Minister thanked the European Union for its tremendous support provided to Fiji and the region over the years.
He said the Fiji Government looks forward to working closely with the EU Pacific Office in mutual areas of priorities.
His Excellency, Mr Seam congratulated Honourable Tubuna on his new role, and he reaffirmed the European Union for the Pacific’s support for the Fiji Government on issues of importance to global and regional prosperity.
