The Office of the Prime Minister wishes to recruit suitable personnel for the following positions:-
1. V/No. 480/2015: PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CABINET)
The incumbent will assist the Secretary to the Cabinet in providing effective Secretariat support to the Cabinet through vetting of Cabinet Memoranda; drafting Minutes of Cabinet meetings; preparing high quality briefs for the Hon. Prime Minister on Cabinet Memoranda, and drafting press statements. The incumbent will also be required to oversee the Unit’s corporate requirements and contributions to the Ministry corporate documents.
A Post Graduate Diploma and good Undergraduate Degree in Governance, Development Studies, Communications or Public Policy from a recognized institution with relevant skills and experience in this particular field in any other organization.
SALARY: SS01: $39,452 - $49,820
2. V/No. 481/2015: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CABINET)
The incumbent is required to manage the administrative requirements of Cabinet Office relating to Ministerial leave and travel, coordinating the timely processing, packing and circulation of Cabinet meeting papers, and overseeing preparation of cabinet meeting venue. The incumbent is also required to oversee the management of the Cabinet Office registry, manage support staff, and procure and manage office stationery and equipment.
An Undergraduate Degree in Management & Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent from recognized institution with relevant work experience. Computing skill/literacy in computing applications and sound industry knowledge are preferred.
SALARY: SS02: $29,530 - $37,564
3. V/No. 482/2015 & 483/2015: ECONOMIC PLANNING OFFICER POLICY (2 POSTS)
The incumbent undertakes analysis of issue papers that covers a wide spectrum of economic, governance and social contexts as and when required by the PS through the Deputy Secretary Policy Division. The analysis process will include undertaking thorough research on the issues being analyzed, convene consultations with key stakeholders and gather their views and comments. The incumbent is to process the data and information gathered and formulates an advice which is supported by valuable data and information with appropriate recommendations to the PS through the Deputy Secretary Policy Division. The incumbent will also be involved in the review of existing policies and programs that are of National Interest. The incumbent will also assist in the analysis of Cabinet papers which are submitted by respective Ministers to Cabinet for approval by Cabinet or for the information of Cabinet. The incumbent will be required to represent the OPM to internal and external forums organized by various stakeholders regarding national initiatives. The incumbent will assist in the development of the National Policies Database which records all current policies of Government. The incumbent will also facilitate appropriate responses to members of the public on grievances and complaints submitted to the OPM. as and when necessary. The position holder will be the representative of Policy Division in the OHS committee.
A Degree in Economics/Statistics or equivalent is essential and it is expected that all posts in this grade will be filled by officers showing potential to reach at least Senior level with relevant skills and experience in this particular field in any other organization. Officer should demonstrate the ability to research material of all types and arrange in order that is user-friendly. The officer should have good communication skills, within and outside the department and to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
SALARY: SS03: $23,458 - $29,982
4. V/No. 484/2015: CLERICAL OFFICER (ACCOUNTS)
The incumbent will be responsible for verifying Bank Statements; verifying the General Ledger; processing of Journal Vouchers; handle Petty Cash and prepare monthly reconciliation statements of Drawings, Inter-Departmental Clearance (IDC) and Petty Cash.
A Diploma in Business Accounting or Business Management. Computing skills are desirable and a pass Service Exams is advantageous.
