OFFICIAL OPENING OF TLTB’S NAUSORI SUB-REGIONAL OFFICE, LAUNCH OF TLTB WEBSITE AND DISTRIBUTION OF SEED FUND GRANT TO 76 RECIPIENTS

“Today we mark another milestone in the expansion of the services offered by the iTaukei Land Trust Board, as we re-open the doors to this sub-regional office and bring a new slate of services to the doorstep of our landowners and our lease-holders in the Nausori area.”

Those were the sentiments shared by the Fijian Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama when delivering the opening speech at Nausori. After two decades, this sub-regional office opens again for accessibility to TLTB services by all Fijians living in the province of Rewa, Naitasiri and Tailevu.

“In total, this Office will serve landowners occupying 42,000 acres of land – and only 36% of that land is currently being leased out.” The Head of Government reiterated that this statistics provides opportunity to put land to use and for landowners to see and gain financial returns, infrastructure for extension of services and transformation of all well-being for all Fijians.

This was witnessed by the 76 recipients after receiving SEED Fund Grant initiative in cultivating or developing their land for their sustainability and the contribution to the economic growth.

The Prime Minister also had the privilege of launching the new ITLTB website to assist Fijians for an efficient and effective online resource to obtain information and direct communication with the ITLTB office.
