Prime Minister Honourable Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama attended the RFMF Infantry dinner at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel on Friday night.
PM Bainimarama was joined by His Excellency, the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote, the Speaker Hon. Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Minister for Defence, National Security and Foreign Affairs Hon. Inia Seruiratu and other senior military officials.
In addressing the infantry men and women, Hon. Ratu Epeli said they were fortunate to have dined with their commander-in-chief, the President.
He added this was something very rare within the RFMF.
“Never forget today. You’re lucky to be dining with your commander-in-chief. This is a beautiful thing,” Hon. Ratu Epeli said.
The Speaker also thanked PM Bainimarama for attending the function despite his very busy schedules throughout the week.
