Prime Minister Honorable Voreqe Bainimarama lauded the contribution of the Chinese-Fijians community as it has played integral part of the rich cultural diversity that has made us the dynamic island nation we are today. (January 21, 2017 )
Mr Bainimarama made the comments while opening the Fiji-China Friendship pavilion at Terry Walk in Suva.
The event also coincided with the start of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
“Since the arrival of the Chinese-Fijians their contribution has played an integral part to our status as “Leaders in the Pacific’, Mr Bainimarama said.
Peoples Republic of China Ambassador to Fiji Zhang Ping and Chinese Fijians community leader Jenny Seeto assisted PM in cutting the ribbon.
