Sigatoka Valley Secondary School Fence to Keep Away Stray Animals

The Sigatoka Valley Secondary School management is expecting better academic results following the approval of the $28, 943.97 worth of fencing materials to fence off the school compound.

Office of the Prime Minister Permanent Secretary Mr Yogesh Karan in handing over the approval said the fence would provide security and fend off stray animals damaging their vegetable farms.

The fencing materials were approved under the Small Grants Scheme. The money will purchase pine posts, barbed wires, chain link and nails.

The management is providing the labour. SVSS is located 25 kilometres from Sigatoka Town up the Sigatoka Valley Road.

The school was established in 1972 and caters for years 9 to Year 13.

The school provides boarding facilities to those facing difficulty in travelling daily to school.
