Visit Deemed to Strengthen Ties Between Vanua and Government

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka received a courtesy call from the Vanua o Bau at the GCC complex in Nasese this afternoon (13th January, 2023).
The visit not only strengthened the ties between the vanua and the Government, Prime Minister Rabuka also received well wishes for his new leadership role and strides in taking the nation forward in his term as the Head of Government.
In thanking the Vanua o Bau, Prime Minister Rabuka acknowledged the visit conducted by them and says that today’s occasion has not only strengthened the Government’s calling to serve the people of Fiji, but it is also a boost of the confidence for the challenges that lie ahead.
“I am not sure if this visit is the first of its kind, if it is, I thank you for coming today. And if this is not the first time for such a visit, thank you for upholding this tradition and I hope that this gesture will continue for the future governments that will be elected to serve the country so that they know their ties to the vanua.”
“Things are now beginning to clear up for us and we have started to work on things that are needed to be done. Work that was intended to be carried out in the first 100 days of being elected have begun,” PM Rabuka stated.
Prime Minister Rabuka also shared well wishes of good health and good fortunes for Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, his people and the nation of Fiji.
