Handing Over of the New Ambulance to the National Fire Authority

“From 2015 to May of this year, statistics have revealed that the National Fire Authority has attended to 10,799 ambulance calls which average to 2,694 calls per year and it is pleasing to see that recognition and response of the people towards NFA’s emergency ambulance service provision.”

Those were the sentiments of the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Yogesh Karan when delivering his remarks at the handing over of the new ambulance to the National Fire Authority at Walu Bay this morning.

He emphasized that this new ambulance was the Hon. Prime Minister’s commitment to the people of Savusavu when opening the new Fire Station early this month.

The Ambulance was donated by the Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Bilateral Aid assistance program.
