Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka held bilateral talks with the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres today, ahead of the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting which begins tomorrow.
During the meeting PM Rabuka highlighted that since joining the UN family in 1970, Fiji remains committed to the guiding principles of the UN Charter.
“We value the important role that the UN plays in upholding multilateralism as our collective response to addressing global challenges.”
PM Rabuka also highlighted Fiji’s continued engagement on the world stage is a reflection of our strength as a nation saying that Fiji has a lot to contribute to help make this world a better place.
PM Rabuka earlier attended the church service with other Pacific Island Leaders at the Centenary Church in Nuku’alofa, Tonga
