SWEARING-IN OF NEW CABINET MINISTERS AND ASSISTANT MINISTERS

Three new Cabinet Ministers and three Assistant Ministers were sworn into office at the State House today (10.01.25).
The three Members of Parliament who took their oaths of office as Cabinet Ministers before His Excellency the President, Turaga Bale Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, are:
•Honourable Iowane Naivalurua as the Minister for Policing,
•Honourable Viliame Naupoto as the Minister for Immigration, and
•Honourable Mosese Drecala Bulitavu as the Minister for Environment and Climate Change.
The Assistant Ministers sworn in today are:
•Honourable Naisa Tatau Tuinaceva as the Assistant Minister for Public Works, Meteorological Services, and Transport,
•Honourable Aliki Bia as the Assistant Minister for Information, and
•Honourable Ratu Josaia Bulavakarua Niudamu as the Assistant Minister for Justice.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the families of the new ministers, the Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka, Deputy Prime Ministers and other Cabinet Ministers.
The newly appointed Cabinet Ministers and Assistant Ministers will assume office immediately.
