This was the powerful message delivered by the Prime Minister Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka to a group of youth under the care of the Fiji Juvenile Rehabilitation and Development Center in Samabula during their Christmas service this morning.
“As we celebrate Christmas, let us reflect on the supreme sacrifice of God, He sent His own son to set us free,” the PM shared.
While sharing personal anecdotes, the PM reflected on his journey to success.
“A group of friends came to Fiji and I shared to them how I had turned the “graph upside down from zero to being a hero,” he stated.
“I started from zero and went on to becoming a hero for being the PM. Even though I lost the elections in 1999, I am now back as a hero.
“Live your lives like that. Don’t underestimate yourself. Start from zero to becoming heroes.”
On the same note, PM Rabuka encouraged a positive outlook on life, emphasising that setbacks are temporary.
He urged the youth to value little things in life and continue strong partnerships with God and the rehabilitation center.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection, aimed to promote inclusivity and share the spirit of Christmas with the children at the center.
