Access to financial services is one of the most effective ways that this Government can ensure
that growth and development are felt by every Fijian said the Honourable Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the BRED band agency at Valelvu in February this year.
“Financial inclusion – achieved through accessible and affordable financial services – is what transforms the enormous economic opportunity my Government is creating into positive socio-economic outcomes for our people’, Mr Bainimarama said.
Following this opening Parliament approved of Fiji’s National Switch – legislation that will place the payment services of all Banks in Fiji on the same interchange network.
Fijians regardless what bank they bank with (ANZ, Westpac, BRED Bank) can withdraw funds from any bank’s ATM at a minimal cost.
