Laying of Foundation for Bau Central College

“Today, we embark on another major project, $1.6million for new school for access to high-quality education for our students, this time for the people of Bau, as we break ground for the construction of the new Bau Central College”.

These are the words of Honourable Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama during the ground breaking ceremony for the new Bau Central College in Mokani, Tailevu on 13th April, 2017.

The government funded $1.6 million for the construction of this new school.  The construction work has been tendered to Super Construction.

“Once completed, this new campus will mark another milestone in my Government’s relentless effort to spread the enormous benefits of affordable education to the Fijian people”, said Mr. Bainimarama.

Students from as far as Ratu Ravuama Primary School, Cautata District, Bau District, Nakelo District, Krishna Vedic School, Dravo Primary, Namata District School, Daku Village School, Nasamila District, Sanatana Dharam Primary and Kuku District will have a convenient, modern and functional new school facility to further their educations once the school’s construction is completed.

The construction ork is scheduled to complete in January 2018.
