Our Prime Minister Continues to Receive Congratulatory Messages from World Leaders

The congratulatory messages for our Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka and the Fiji Government, continues to pour in.
Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum conveyed his sincere appreciation and best wishes to Prime Minister Rabuka and the people of Fiji. He reaffirmed UAE’s strong support for Prime Minister Rabuka and the Fiji Government.
Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Ret.) on behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, congratulated Prime Minister Rabuka.
He said Thailand and Fiji have enjoyed cordial ties for over 50 years of diplomatic relations and he looks forward to working closely with Prime Minister Rabuka to further enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual benefits, towards sustainable and resilient post-pandemic recovery and inclusive long-term growth, for the prosperity and well-being of the two countries’ and its peoples’.
President of the Republic of Türkiye His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Rabuka.
He expressed confidence that the amicable relations between Türkiye and Fiji will be further strengthened during Prime Minister Rabuka’s tenure, for the mutual benefit and interest of the two nations’ and its peoples’.
Prime Minister of the Cook Islands, Honourable Mark Brown congratulated Prime Minister Rabuka on the formation of the inclusive Cabinet and he looks forward to building a close working relationship with Prime Minister Rabuka and the Fiji Government.
Prime Minister Brown said he is confident that through Prime Minister Rabuka’s leadership, the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation will bring to fruition mutual benefits for the two nations’ and its peoples’.
He commended Prime Minister Rabuka’s commitment to regional solidarity and early resolution on the University of the South Pacific (USP) issue, which demonstrates that Fiji remains at the forefront of Pacific regionalism.
Prime Minister Brown said he looks forward for Prime Minister Rabuka’s support, in the lead up to the upcoming Special Leaders Meeting and to progress preparatory work for the Cook Islands to host this year’s Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting and assume the role as incoming chair of the PIF.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Honourable Hossein Amir-Abdollahian congratulated Prime Minister Rabuka. He looks forward to enhance the levels of friendly relations and cooperation in the political, economic and cultural areas of development.
