Today, I received a communication from Hon. Manoa Kamikamica informing me of his decision to step down from Cabinet and from his position as Deputy Prime Minister.
He will be returning to the country tomorrow, and his final day serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister will be 22 October 2025.
Hon. Kamikamica will remain a Member of Parliament and will focus on clearing his name in relation to the charges laid against him by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
I have accepted his decision to step down, and he has assured me of his unwavering commitment to the Government and the people of Fiji.
I will be overseeing his portfolio responsibilities for the foreseeable future.
