The Public Relations & Media Division (PRMD) continued its consultations throughout the Western Division over the 2nd Quarter of 2013.
The consultations provided the PR Officers with the opportunity to meet with the people in the Province of Ba on Government’s intent and outcomes over the first six (6) months of the year.
During the consultation program the PR teams were also able to visit various government projects and witness the number of developments currently being undertaken in the area.
Although the Strategic Framework for Change Coordinating Office (SFCCO) primarily conducts the PR consultations to update the people on government programmes and initiatives currently being undertaken the officers were also able to discuss and clarify issues or concerns raised by people.
In-light of Pillar 9 of the Peoples Charter for Change, Peace and Progress, the consultations are aimed at ensuring that all Fijians are informed of government’s activities and the positive changes currently being undertaken in various sectors in the community.
The teams were also accompanied by representatives from the Provincial and District Offices in the West.
