Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka and the Assistant Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Honourable Sakiusa Tubuna were accorded a traditional ceremony of welcome yesterday by the staff and the line ministries under his portfolio.
While delivering his official address, the Prime Minister thanked the civil servants for the kind gesture accorded to him and also took the opportunity to emphasise the importance of serving the people of Fiji.
“I’d like to stress the fact that we will be serving the people and the nation and I call on you to cooperate with us”.
“I’m not worried. I know you will continue to do your work as honourable civil servants, who have vowed to spend your time and energy serving the people of Fiji.”
Prime Minister Rabuka revealed that his aim for the Fijian Government is to implement their manifestos into the policies that they will be proposing and implementing in the next four years.
