PRIME MINISTER RABUKA ATTENDS FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR OUTGOING INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR TO FIJI- (26-01-2023)

The Hon. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka joined the diplomatic corps and government officials at the farewell reception last night for outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to Fiji, His Excellency Mr Raden Mohammad Benyamin Scott Carnad, as he completes his diplomatic term in Fiji.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Indonesia, Ambassador Carnadi conveyed his gratitude to the Fijian Government and the people of Fiji for the wonderful friendship, support and cooperation extended to him whilst serving in Fiji.
Ambassador Carnadi reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations with Fiji and the Pacific region.
Fiji and Indonesia mark 49 years of diplomatic relations which was established in 1974. The key areas of cooperation includes disaster management and forestry, technical training in the human resource development in fisheries and agriculture and climate change, women’s empowerment, defense and policing amongst others.
