PRIME MINISTER RABUKA ENCOURAGES FIJI AIRWAYS 7S TEAM TO PERFORM WELL-(19-02-2023)

Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Rabukahas rallied the Fiji Airways 7s team to perform well in the upcoming Los Angeles Sevens.
The Ben Gollings-coached 7s side is pooled with Australia, Kenya and Japan in the tournament this upcoming weekend.
Today, the Prime Minister visited the team’s camp in Sigatoka where he told the players that the nation will be cheering them on.
Prime Minister Rabuka said even though there have been negative criticisms about the coach and the team recently, he believes the boys have what it takes to put Fiji back on top of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series points table.
In sharing his political journey, the Head of the Coalition Government said it took him decades to make a comeback in the political arena as our Prime Minister.
“I was the youngest politician in my time and now I come back again as the oldest Prime Minister. If I can do it, so can you,” he told the players.
“Go out there, enjoy yourselves and play well. We are all proud of you and we will be supporting you all the way.
“Go with God and we wish you all the best.”
Meanwhile, our 7s gladiators will be flying out later tonight (19th February,2022) for the tournament.
