PRIME MINISTER RABUKA URGES CIVIL SERVANTS IN TAVEUNI TO SERVE WITH DILIGENCE-(22-03-2023)

Prime Minister Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka has urged the 236 civil servants serving on the island of Taveuni to remain true to the “call of duty” and continue to serve with diligence.
During his visit to the government officials at Waiyevo Hospital today, Prime Minister Rabuka took the opportunity to acknowledge the development work and services so far carried out on the island by the respective government ministries and departments.
While it has been no easy feat serving in rural maritime islands, he thanked the officials for their dedication and for staying true to their duties.
“Dont be discouraged if you see your superiors receiving special recognition and accolades, remember that you’re also part of that achievement,” he said.
“Give your best and serve well. Do it with due diligence. I want to thank you all for the work you have been doing and I hope that you will be rewarded accordingly.”
In further encouraging the officials, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka quoted the founder of Methodism, John Wesley and said; “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can”.
The officials also had the opportunity to exchange greetings with the Prime Minister, at the same time, raise their issues and concerns directly to him.
